About
What WaterVetted is
An independent filter-comparison project: one comparable dataset from manufacturer specs and NSF/ANSI claims — not a lab, not a store.
The problem we solve
Filter shopping means comparing products whose remove rates, cartridge costs and certification claims are written in incompatible ways. We put those numbers into one schema, keep the source URL and as-of date, and leave blanks when a maker did not publish a figure.
What we do and do not claim
- We normalize manufacturer specifications and stated NSF/ANSI claims.
- We do not run our own laboratory tests on filters.
- We never invent a remove rate or backfill a missing number from marketing copy.
- Health content here is informational — not a substitute for your doctor, utility or a certified lab.
Full detail lives on our methodology page.
